Good steaks near Flower Mound / DFW

I'll be at DFW in a couple of weeks. Texas is beef country. I'm going to be taking a couple of friends who live in the Dallas area out for dinner. Can anyone name a good / great steak place out near DFW? If that doesn't work, Dallas or Ft Worth would work OK too.

There should be a good handful to choose from, but in that area I have to HIGHLY recommend Boi Na Braza, a Brasilian Churrascaria. If you've never experience on like this, you're in for a treat. Come hungry, because if you leave hungry it's yer own danged fault! It is off Highway 121 in Colleyville, near Hall-Johnson road. You may want to exit Glade and get to it from the northbound service road.

I have not been to either Texas de Brasil nor Fogo de Chau, but I am to understand all three are very comparable. It can be pricey, but not anything I wouldn't expect at the other two.

While the churrascarias are grand, they're not exactly steak places.

For that, we've got the usual assortment of Bob's Chop House, Ruth's Cris, and the like. However, depending on how much you're willing to spend, I can definitely recommend Ounce in Addison.

You can find both Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao in Addison on belt line. They are withing 3 blocks of each other.I went for dinner to the Fogo de Chao in Houston, and even though I don't normally eat a lot of red meat, I have to admit that it was the best restaurant I have ever been to. It's my understanding that Texas de Brazil is slightly cheaper than Fogo, but it is really not worth it. FYI, my husband and I spent about 110 with just the buffet and water. Addison is full of restaurants so you could just drive by and see which one you would like to try.

For an old time Texas steakhouse with authentic atmosphere somewhat near DFW, I would suggest Ranchman's Cafe in Ponder.

Closer to DFW, I would go to Big Buck Brewery & Steakhouse next door to Bass Pro Shops at Grapevine Mills. They have quality steaks without the high ticket prices of a lot of places.

There is a Bob's Steak and Chop House in Grapevine.

There is also a steakhouse at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, but I have never been to it so I can not say how good it is.
